Last week I went
to Art Gallery of NSW for an excursion and it was really a good and new
experienced for me. I saw there lots of Traditional and Contemporary arts by
Aboriginal people. Although, all of them impressed me, I like the Warlugulong
art most by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri and Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri. It is a
Contemporary art and physical property is 2D. For this art artist used synthetic
polymer paint on canvas. The main reason for liking this art is story. This is
a story of two brothers who caught a Kangaroo and ate it. Since they were
hungry, they did not share it with other people. When their father knew about
that he became angry and made a fire in the jungle to kill them. Then storm and
flood came and washed them away. The another reason is dot points on the canvas
that how Aboriginal people expressed their unspoken language and dream story by
using these. If anyone looks closely, it is noticeable that in the middle of
the art there is a fire and then some footsteps of two brothers. On the right
hand side there is also some two brother’s skeletons, shown against background
representing smoke and ashes. Aboriginal people normally use three colours for
painting but here artist used more than three colours and maintained the
simplicity of the art. The above prospective view of it is aerial view.

I really like your favorite art. This is my favorite art as well.
